OUR HISTORY
It was in 1920 that Paul and Alexandre Gontier created a cabinetmaking business in Landivy in Mayenne with a few fellow cabinetmakers. The company will be taken over by their children and then grandchildren who specialize in the creation of school furniture and then the copying of old furniture. In 2010, the GONTIER company was taken over by Messrs. Vermersch and Weiler. Today, the GONTIER brand belongs to MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANÇAIS and still offers you very high quality solid wood furniture made 100% in France.
The GONTIER know-how has been passed down since the very beginning of the 20th century from generation to generation.
A great creativity marks the history of GONTIER accompanied by the permanent concern to preserve the best of the past and the greatest requirement in the choice of materials.

100 years later, manufacturing, assembly and finishing are still 100% French.
We use noble species from sustainably managed and PEFC-certified French forests such as oak; ash and cherry. Mild and temperate climates optimize the natural drying of the wood and guarantee a very long life of the furniture by avoiding checking and deformations in the panels.
To avoid any waste of natural resources, the furniture is made to order. This flexibility also makes it possible to respond to all requests for customization and made-to-measure.
All GONTIER furniture leaves our workshops already assembled and is guaranteed for 5 years.
Maintenance is very simple with a soft, slightly damp cloth if necessary.

By receiving furniture at your home already assembled in the workshop by professionals and delivered to your home in the room and under cover to avoid micro-scratches, you will see the difference day after day with standard furniture delivered in cardboard and in a "ready to use" kit. to assemble".
